i've been wanting to let aiden grow a small plant on his own for him to love and nature. when i saw this little can called "message bean" last week, i thought it's a perfect gift for him. the bean will germinate in about 7 days and when the bean opens up, you will see the laser-edged message on the bean, i think it's really cool.

roasted chicken dinner
it's freezing these days, so i planned to make something sizzling for dinner last nite. roasted chicken is perfect in the cold winter days! i bought this chicken from supermarket and marinated it for hours with italian spices, salt and pepper before putting it into the oven. simple and fast, it turned out to be a success. it was quite tasty, the meat was tender and juicy.....i am glad that papa and aiden enjoy my cooking....

happy holiday
sorry for my slow pace recently, happy new year and hope you and your family had a wonderful holiday. we spent the first weekend of 2011 in singapore. regardless of a few showers, we were quite lucky with the weather. we stayed at the naumi hotel and had a fabulous time…we will be definitely going back for another visit with ian. here are some pictures taken duing our trip.

wandering around in dempsey hill
singapore botanic gardens, we are all impressed by the lush greenery and beautiful lake, so peaceful yet stunning....
we had a celebration for mimo's (our friends michelle & morgan) 5th anniversary in the white rabbit restaurant, a beautifully restored old chapel which serves classic european food, nice ambiance, fancy settings with high ceiling and lovely stained glass windows....
