banana cake

this is a banana cake recipe shared by my uncle who used to run a coffee shop in victoria, canada, it's such a classic! it has a gorgeous texture and even better flavor! it goes perfect with a cup of coffee!

ingredients:

3 ripe bananas

56 gram melted butter

3/4 cups sugar

1 tsp. vanilla extract

1 egg

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour – sifted

½ tsp. baking powder

1 tsp. baking soda

Preheat the oven at 180C

In a large bowl combine the bananas, butter, sugar, egg and vanilla extract. In another bowl combine all of the dry ingredients.

blend the ingredients with an electric mixer.

sift the dry ingredients into the bowl

blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.

put a baking sheet on the baking tray, pour in the butter and place in the oven for about 55 minutes or until the toothpick test comes out clean.

it's done! does it look warm in the picture???

tried a piece right away and it's so soft and moist! it will be breakfast for the kids tomorrow morning!

zoo day

spent a wonderful weekend with michelle's family in chimelong, it took us about 2 1/2 hours from Hong Kong. I visited a few animal zoos, when my friends recommended Chimelong safari park, i didn't expect it to top my past experience, well I was totally wrong. the zoo was truly amazing. aiden and mauv were all excited watching the circus show on the first night. but the zoo was the main attraction of this trip, the kids enjoyed so much seeing different kinds of animals. we had a most enjoyable time at this park as the animals were so full of life. i feel every parents should take their kids to chimelong!! the safari was a thrilling experience for all of us! really looking forward to our next trip there!

the automobile safari was amazing, visitors can drive their own cars or take the free tour tram, but we have rented the private car for an hour. the scenery is beautiful, the animal species are comprehensive.

talia's birthday
