i was thinking of baking something last night with the kids and found this really good chocolate chip cookies recipe from the internet. and luckily, i had all the ingredients required in my pantry! yeah! i’m obsessed with cc cookies, they are always the perfect cookies!

1/2 cup (100 grams) granulated sugar
1/2 cup (120 grams) firmly packed light brown sugar
8 tablespoons (1 stick) (115 grams) unsalted butter, cold, cut into 1/2-inch (1cm) pieces
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/4 cups (175 grams) all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups (200 grams) semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup(130 grams) walnuts or pecans, toasted and chopped
preheat oven to 150C

beat the sugar, brown sugar and butter together until
creamy |
beat in the egg, vanilla extract and mix until combined

sift together the flour, baking soda and salt.

add in chocolate chips

then nuts
|
bake for about 20 mins in the oven
|
the cookies have the wonderful crispy outside
chewy inside combo going on!! however, it is a little
bit too sweet for the kids, i will have to reduce the amount of sugar next time. |
