a night out at olala

we went there with our friends last friday, i heard many good comments about this restaurant, finally we made a booking and tried it out before i had my orbical decompression surgery last weekend.  i'm glad that the surgery went very well and i'm now totally ok and resting at home, it's going to take about 2-3 weeks for recovery.  anyway, i just want to update a bit here.

we started with some hot and tasty croissants!!!  they can be compared with the ones from joel robuchon!

seafood platter was super

the spanish iberico ham was excellent, not salty even without melon

pan-fried foie fras was cooked to perfection, one of my favorite!

interesting combination of soups:  mushrooms, fish stock and vegetables soup...i like the mushroom soup the most

i totally forgot to take pictures of our main courses, we ordered duck confit, roast chicken, beef cheek etc.  lastly came the mango cake, it was definitely delicious.

bubbles carnival

over the weekend we took the kids to ngong ping to participate the bubble carnival. we enjoyed the slower pace, the peaceful and possibly the best weather in a year.  how important it is to remember to embrace wherever or whatever we are.
