aiden began coughing since last week, the cough brought up some mucus and caused him vomit every night, but he didn't seem to have a cold or other illness until last nite, he had a fever....
instead of taking him to the doctor, i took the advice from my maid and bought some fresh limes and pure honey, she said it is the best way to cure symptoms of colds, coughs and flus of people of any age. so, i looked up from the internet and found that lime juice has vitamin C and vitamin C is very involved in immune function. but above and beyond vitamin C, limes have some special property in them that helps our bodies to heal much quicker. lime is ideal in all types of fevers and cold if taken weltdiluted. vitamin C rich lime juice increases resistance, reduces toxicity and cuts down the course of the illness. unless one is specially allergic to citrus fruits, one should not avoid lime in cold.
the procedure is easy, to prepare: 1- fill a pot with water and put a middle or big sized lime. 2- leave the pot to boil for about 10-15 minutes till it becomes soft but intact. 3- take the lime and squeeze it to extract its juice. 4- clear the juice or filter it. 5- add the juice to about 1/2 cup of honey. take 1 tablespoonful 3 times a day.
believe it or not, aiden gets much better today.
