tu fang

i read an article about this art space at the cattle depot artist village in to kwa wan yesterday, and i couldn't wait to take aiden to try kid's art jamming right after work today. i gave the owner a call this afternoon and made the appointment. i heard about cattle village for a long time, it is the first time i come here. we arrived about 6:00pm, before heading to tu fang, i took a quick walk around with aiden, most units here are occupied by local artists.

tu-fang is the place where we're going to spend this evening. as soon as we walked in, i immediately fall in love with this place. it is almost like a hidden space in the city where you can enjoy a quiet time making arts. it is a great place for mommys, daddys and friends to hang out. one good news is the venue can be booked for kids' party!

the unit is mainly divided by a little pantry, a chill out space, a painting area and the owner's private corner. the setting and atmosphere really set a good mood for painting. plants and flowers, fish tank, decorative lightings and vintage furnitures are beautifully arranged. there are too many things to look at. the way that tom, the owner, displays the furnitures and decorations is simply amazing. they totally reflect his unique taste of life.

tom treated us with such kind hospitality, aiden enjoyed his first art jamming and also the selections of baby jazz played in the room. we had a great time, thank you tom! see you again soon.
