mother's day morning, we all woke up early while papa was still on the bed, so i thought maybe we could give papa a surprise breakfast to honor his hard work as well! the boys were very enthusiastic in helping to whisk the egg and pour in the ingredients. they really love to get involved in the kitchen now!
papa woke up with a lovely breakfast waiting for him on the table!
ingredients:
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
4 slices french bread, sliced
in a shallow bowl, whisk egg until foamy. then whisk in milk, vanilla and cinnamon. dip 4 slices of bread in the egg mixture, let excess drip back into bowl. put them in hot frying pan. cook, turning, until both sides are nicely browned. then serve with maple syrup and fruits.
